The treatment consists of gradually introducing the affected limb into the container that contains the paraffin at a temperature between 45 and 55 degrees, so that successive layers of hot wax are deposited on the skin.

After achieving ten to twelve overlapping layers, the hand is wrapped, with an insulating substance, for example plastic, and all this in turn is wrapped again in a towel to avoid heat loss, it remains that way from 15 to 20 minutes and the wax is removed from the affected member.

Physical therapy treatments are done daily until symptoms subside.
