Curved and semi-rigid tube made of plastic material that, inserted into the victim's mouth, keeps the airway open, preventing the tongue and pharyngeal muscles from obstructing the passage of air. It is an essential element in unconscious patients, since it helps to avoid the serious injuries that are produced by the prolonged absence of oxygen.
