Dynamic Tape is made of very different materials, has completely different physical properties, and is used in a very different way than rigid athletic tapes or kinesiology tapes.

Dynamic Tape is a highly elastic tape that stretches in all directions and has very strong kickback properties. It does not have a rigid end which extends much more than the usual kinesiology tapes. This design and unique visco-elastic properties allow it to function like a bungee cord, acting on the body to provide a decelerating force, absorb load, and reduce work on injured tissues. Provides strong mechanical assistance, helps weak muscles, and improves movement patterns while allowing range of motion.

Powerful neurophysiological and circulatory effects are seen with Dynamic Tape, however our clinical reasoning is based on a rational evaluation of anatomy and biomechanics to determine which tissues are overloaded and which movement failures are contributing to it. Dynamic Tape aims to absorb load extrinsically thereby reducing the load that the body has to intrinsically dissipate.
