3B Model of the skeleton of the foot

This anatomically detailed model of the foot and lower leg can be disassembled into 6 removable parts for a detailed study of the area. The model does not include only the bones, but also incorporates the muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, arteries, and veins.

Front view shows the extensor muscles of the lower leg. The course of the tendons under the crucial crural and transverse crural ligament can be followed to their insertion points. Also, all the tendon sheaths are visible.

The dorsal part of the model allows the gastrocnemius muscle to be removed to reveal the anatomical elements underneath. The sole of the foot is represented in three layers, the first of which shows the short flexor of the fingers. This muscle can be removed, showing the quadratus plantar, the flexor digitorum longus tendon, and the flexor big toe muscle. This second layer is in turn removable to reveal anatomical details located even deeper.
